Why is it always when you have a huge paper due that your computer won't stay on for more than 20 minutes?
What did we do before technology? Bother, have I said it before? I am ready for Christmas break!
One thing that made this wonderful morning better.....Sweet Home Alabama :)
I'm using a clip from it for my paper and decided what better way to get the creative juices going than to watch my favorite movie. It really never gets old....Have a good Wednesday everyone!

Tonight I Want to Cry.....
Tears....
Some are happy, some are sad
Some come unexpected, some have been bottled up for a long time
Being related to my Father I have very active tear ducts.
Sometimes this is a blessing, sometimes this is a curse.
This week, for some unknown reason, there have been more tears than normal.
The best tears this week came from my very most favorite Christmas tradition, The Forgotten Carols.
And the not so great tears well maybe I've just been overdue for a good cry.
As silly as it sounds, there is something very theraputic about tears, both kind!
So tonight, regardless of where they come from I am thankful for tears.

Forever could see us, not you and me...
This is where I want to be right now, not a care in the world. A good book to read and I would be perfectly content.
Sadly, that is not a realistic possibility.
However, there is another place that fills me with peace and joy.......the library! (or a bookstore for that matter)
This week I accomplished the first from off of my list...I got a library card (I know, I know I'm 5 years old. I've accepted that fact) I walked into this huge beautiful building and never wanted to leave. Since I can't go to the beach on a regular basis I suppose this will do :)
If you need me I'll be reading......
Listen....it's worth it!

Don't you notice life goes on....
Last month my amazing coworker decided to make a list of 21 things to do before she turned 21 (which was November 1) This inspired me and I decided to make one of my own. (Luckily I have more time than she did, hopefully I can do it all in 7 months) Of course, I will keep you all updated on my progress because there is some pretty awesome stuff on this list :) It took me a long time to compile this list, it's harder than you would think! Some things are silly and some have always been a dream of mine. So, without further adieu....
21 Things to do before I turn 21
1. Go on a hot air balloon ride
2. Milk a cow
3. Go backpacking (to Ostler lake with the family!)
4. Picnic on a beach
5. Save at least $500
6. Visit/do baptisms at all the LDS Temples in Utah
7. Go to a drive in movie
8. Run a 5k for a charity
9. Learn how to do a back flip on the tramp
10. Go on a road trip
11. Stay up all night and watch the sunrise
12. Go to Disneyland
13. Visit a Zoo
14. Go camping with friends
15. Make a sidewalk chalk work of art
16. Attempt to learn a different language
17. Read as many travel books as possible (specifically for the top 5 countries I want to visit)
18. Look at the constellations through a telescope
19. Get a Provo Library Card
20. Get my Concealed Weapons Permit (won't actually happen until I am 21)
21. At least one service project a month
What do you think? Pretty good list right? I am so excited to get started! I'm ready to make the best of the rest of my 20th year :)
Don't worry I wouldn't post without my latest song obsession :)

Just let me cry...
Today, the Prophet came to school. I love when he comes, I love the excitement and the crowds of people that gather to listen to him. I love the immediate reverence that falls over the 20,000 young adults as he enters the room. I love that he is called of God and speaks for Him. I love that he has a sense of humor and most importantly I love that I can see and feel the love he has for me and everyone in the world. I am thankful for a prophet today and everyday.
He spoke on being an example of the believers, it was powerful. We all make a difference even if it doesn't always feel like it. He even quoted Lion King "Look inside yourself, you are more than what you have become. Remember who you are."
I definitely needed to hear that this week.
A song that describes me fairly well. Church music is my go to for mood lifters.

Out of the doubt that fills my mind...
I somehow find, you and I collide.
Being sick is the worst, especially when it's the second time in two weeks.
Here's to hoping that since it is day five it is almost over with...
Love this...

We move just like the moon and the sun....
It is not a secret that I don't like Halloween. It is definitely my least favorite holiday, but it is a holiday so of course I'll participate in the traditions. I do LOVE fall though and I have been working on this bucket list for fall and here is my progress so far:Obviously I'm slacking! I've got to get going in order to accomplish all of these before winter comes! Wish me luck!
This is probably one of the cutest things I've seen. I honestly hope this will be possible for me :)
P.S. I am ridiculously excited for Thanksgiving and Christmas. The most wonderful time of the year!

The time we spent apart will make our love grow stronger...
Remember the post I just posted a couple of hours ago, well here's a look into my obsession with cute old couples. I know it's kind of long and a sad story but read through it, there are some cute lines. This is seriously how I want it to happen to me, holding hands with my lifetime love.
Couple married 72 years die holding hands
After car crash, 'neither one of them would've wanted to be without each other'
DES MOINES, Iowa — An Iowa couple married for 72 years died holding hands in a Des Moines hospital within 70 minutes of each other last week after a car accident that also injured another couple.
"They're very old-fashioned. They believed in marriage 'til death do you part," Dennis Yeager, the son of Gordon and Norma Yeager, told ketv.com. The accident that claimed Gordon, 94, and Norma Yeager, 90, happened Oct. 12, when the couple left their State Center home for a drive shortly after 8 a.m. At the intersection of Highway 30 and Jessup Avenue, just west of Marshalltown, Gordon pulled "away from the stop sign and failed to yield to a westbound vehicle," according to Sgt. Joel Ehler of the Iowa State Patrol.
The driver of the other car, Charles Clapsaddle, 64, of Marshalltown, was unable to stop to avoid a collision, Ehler said.
Clapsaddle was treated and released from Marshalltown Medical & Surgical Center, but his wife, Barbara, was reportedly transferred to Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. A man who identified himself as their son, John, said in a comment published on a story on the Times-Republican website that his mother suffered internal bleeding and a broken neck.
“She is currently stable but remains in the critical care unit,” he wrote. “There will be a long road ahead for her recovery.
Ehler said Yeager was facing pending action by the Iowa Department of Transportation to have his license removed, but citing privacy concerns, said he could release no additional details on what prompted that action.
The Yeagers' children told ketv.com that their parents never liked being apart ever since Norma Stock married Gordon Yeager on May 26, 1939, in State Center. And they were relieved that the couple was able to spend their last moments together at the intensive care unit of the Marshalltown hospital.
"They brought them in the same room in intensive care and put them together — and they were holding hands in ICU. They were not really responsive," Dennis Yeager told ketv.com.
Gordon died at 3:38 p.m. surrounded by their family and holding hands with Norma.
"It was really strange, they were holding hands, and dad stopped breathing but I couldn't figure out what was going on because the heart monitor was still going," said Dennis Yeager. "But we were like, he isn't breathing. How does he still have a heart beat? The nurse checked and said that's because they were holding hands and it's going through them. Her heart was beating through him and picking it up."
Norma died at 4:48 p.m., according to ketv.com. "Neither one of them would've wanted to be without each other. I couldn't figure out how it was going to work," the Yeagers' daughter Donna Sheets told ketv.com. "We were very blessed, honestly, that they went this way."
The Yeager’s children said the couple complemented each other.
"Anybody come over — she was the hostess with the mostess. ... The more she did, the more she smiled," Dennis Yeager told ketv.com. "Dad would be the center of attention, like, 'Wheee look at me,' and mom was like 'get him away from me!' You know we even got a picture like that."
And even though they argued every now and them, "They just loved being together," he said.
"He said 'I have to stick around. I can't go until she does because I have to stay here for her and she would say the same thing,'" he said.
The couple reportedly were holding hands Tuesday at their funeral in their casket. Their family said the plan was to cremate them together and mix their ashes.
I love this place, but it's haunted...
Why is it.....
--that freshly cleaned sheets always help you sleep better?
--fancy hot chocolate always tastes better?
(or maybe its just the company?)
--movies are better when you're wearing sweats?
--the smell of fall is one of the best things in the world?
--the best times are completely spontaneous and simple?
--that this the most precious note?
--old couples make my heart happy?
--that the Notebook is one of the greatest movies ever made? (in my opinion of course)

What if you, could wish me away...
I highly recommend this movie! It is incredible and makes me cry everytime.
If you haven't seen it and want to watch it call me I will come watch it with you (I have it if you want to borrow it). Trust me, it's definitely worth it.

The Whole World is Moving and I'm standing still...
True.....silly girls and their mind games, gotta love it :)
I know we most likely won't have a real fall (I will still keep my fingers crossed for it though!) I ran across this cute list and I would love to accomplish all of them. More than likely you will get to read about my experiences :)

You and Me walk on, because you can't go back now...
This was a fantastic weekend!
So, of course, I'm going to tell you about it :)
Friday:
It started out with a beautiful wedding with Bailey.
After the wedding Tanece and I had a party. (A watch movies eat junk food kind of party)
A couple of things we learned from this experience...
-We are terrible at picking movies
-It is never a good idea to sleep on the little couch
-Just because it's supposed to be a 'chick flick' or romantic movie doesn't mean it won't be creepy or weird or frustrating or sad.
-Junk food never tasted so good
-Salt and Vinegar chips do not last very long in this apartment
-The best kind of sleepovers are with your roommates because you still have all your stuff and don't have to go home in the morning.
Saturday:
Didn't get nearly enough sleep (seem to be doing a lot of that nonsense lately)
Went to my lacrosse game
The girls played hard but lost :(
Went shopping with Tanece....got a new skirt!!
$5 footlongs!
Bundled up in 20 layers to go to the football game
-It turned out to not be that cold and didn't need one of the layers
BYU won :)
Watched P.S. I Love You
Sunday:
Once again did not get enough sleep (thanks to turning my alarm of in my sleep for giving me a little extra time)
Carli gave an amazing talk! She was so happy, confident and funny. I am so glad I could be there, the spirit was so strong.
All 7 of the girls were there (which is a rare occurrence these days)
There were tears, laughs, and of course jumping pictures.
I got too reminiscent and realized this was the last time all of us would be together before Cari left, and people started getting married.
It's crazy how the world works. Are we even old enough to be doing this stuff? I'm pretty sure we're not...
All in all a great weekend. I am now making up for it though and doing homework and hopefully going to bed early!
I hope everyone's weekend was just as great!
Oh and did I mention I'm a little obsessed with The Weepies, must've forgotten ;)
So, of course, I'm going to tell you about it :)

Where no one knows my name...
Life is funny, life's a mess, sometimes a curse, sometimes a blessing...
(Thank you Dixie Chicks for describing life perfectly)
It is FREEZING!!! I am not a fan....
Fall we had it going so well, what happened?
Snow on the tops of the mountains....yeah, welcome to Utah.
In other news, I heard one of the songs from Justin Bieber's Christmas Album. Umm amazing :) Can't wait!
I know I've posted this one again but it is (and probably always will be) my very most favorite song so totally worth a repost...
Lastly,
This Sunday, one of my bestest friends is giving her "talk before she leaves on a mission"--farewell--I can tell you she is going to be the most amazing missionary. Crazy to think we are old enough to do that kind of stuff, right? I love her and am so proud of her, she is amazing!

The World Spins Madly On...
This is definitely worth watching. Great song. Beautiful dancing couple.
Quote from my class today that ties into this,
"Marriage then is redeeming the pledge made at the betrothal by uniting a man and a woman in a dance of intimacy for the rest of their lives."
I love the interesting things I learn in my classes.
I hate the ridiculous amounts of homework I have (and the terrible problem I have of procrastination)
I love the things I do instead of my homework.
I have the best roommates and friends.
I love football more than anything.

Can You Feel The Love Tonight...
Every so often you have an experience that will change the rest of your life....
Tonight, was one of those.
Tonight, was one of those.
Yes, I went to see this and it was every bit as amazing as I thought it would be. I highly recommend it.
Even though I've seen the movie a million times it was a completely different experience seeing it in the theater and 3D was pretty cool as well.
Rain combined with good food, this brilliant movie made for a perfect night :)

To Make You Feel My Love...
Fall.....
seriously, my most favorite time of the year
First, FOOTBALL :)
There is seriously nothing better than watching football games with family and friends, I can never get enough!
Second, I love the weather!!
The leaves change and it is warm during the day and cool at night. Perfect sweatshirt weather!
You can play outside and not die of heat exhaustion or you can go up in the canyon and have a fire or camp out.
Third, It is the official (in my opinion) start of the holiday season. Who doesn't love Thanksgiving??
Along with that I am so excited for the Christmas music coming out this year.
----Justin Bieber Christmas album anyone?? :)
----She and Him is also coming out with a Christmas album.
both should be fantastic!
Now for a list of the other random stuff I LOVE about fall...
-hikes up the canyon
-evening walks
-my favorite TV shows returning
-fall clothes
-football
-sitting on the porch at night
-cuddling
-hot chocolate
-football
-rain storms
-blankets
-corn mazes
-hoodies
-hoodies
-football
-oh, did I mention football?? :)
Go Cougars!!!
Of course, it wouldn't be a blog post without some of my favorite songs...
So happy right now :)

Radio...
I am really not a huge fan of the radio, I feel as though all of the stations have commercials at the same time. It's a pain and I usually stick to my ipod. However, there are somedays, like today where I am too lazy to reach into my bag and connect my ipod and skip through my 'soundtrack to life' playlist. So I flip from channel to channel hoping to find something good and guess what? I found 2 new songs that are amazing!
First,
perfect.
Second,
Nothing better than some good Rascal Flatts break up songs.
So thank you radio for giving me some entertainment instead of constant frustration.
Guess what else?
School starts on Monday and I am feeling so unprepared. I can't believe the summer is already over. I have been wishing for one more beach trip before school starts think its possible? Me either. Bother.
School is expensive. Not only is there monthly rent that needs to be paid along with gas and groceries. Now tack on books, tuition, supplies and I am officially moneyless. Not like that is anything new ;)
Allison moved back in :) Crazy to have her back, can't wait for Tanecey to move in!
We have a wireless router that might actually work, that in and of itself is an incredible miracle.
Tomorrow, Center Street, John Allred, Free. Pretty excited.
Lacrosse started today, its gonna be a crazy season but I'm excited. My stick is getting pretty hammered though, poor thing.
I think that is all sorry I know very random but a lot has happened in the last few days so lastly one more song that I can't get enough of
I'm pretty sure music is better than my own words....

I love to see the Temple...
I'm going there someday
Palmyra Temple |
New York City Temple |
Draper Temple |
Jordan River Temple |
St. George Temple (Visitor Center) |
There is nothing better than the temple. It has the ability to lift your spirits and bring a calming influence in your life. Every time I go to the temple I am able to put my cares aside and focus on what is important in life.
I have always loved the temple. Even before I could go in at all it was still a place of refuge. When they were building the Draper Temple. I would often drive up there if I was having a bad day or just needed to get away for awhile. It is probably easy to guess that I now have a special relationship with the Draper Temple because it was a special place for me before it was even completed.
I am also grateful for the temple workers. I have many friends and family members that have the opportunity to work in the temple. Regardless of what they are called to do they make a huge difference in the experience of the temple and I cannot express enough gratitude to them for the spirit they provide.
I look forward to the day when I am able to go through the temple and I know that the temple will always be a significant blessing in my life.
I'll prepare myself while I am young, this is my sacred duty

You put your arms around me and I'm home...
Today was one of these days
I think I belong in a place where this is how it is...
Isn't it funny how everything that could go wrong does go wrong in the same day. It's not like it can be spread out over a couple of days so you're able to rest and recover before the next thing happens. Nope, it all comes at the same time and you feel as if you will not make it.
Today was totally one of those days. I'm just hoping for a better one tomorrow.

Yes, infact I do...
listen to Christmas songs randomly in the middle of the summer. I don't care what time of year it is but when a song comes on from Josh Groban's Christmas CD you listen to it. The thing is Christmas songs bring me cheer all year around and I will never get tired of feeling that special spirit they bring!
Speaking of Josh Groban, Jake and I had the amazing opportunity to go to his concert this weekend. Let me tell you, he is BETTER live. Who knew that was even possible? Not me!
Needless to say my love has been refound (hence the Christmas songs)
Of course I didn't take my camera so there are no pictures...sorry!

Harry Potter
Oops, this definitely should have come sooner! Sorry :)
As you all know I was just a little bit excited for Harry Potter. So excited in fact, we got in line at 4 am and waited all day just to ensure we were first in line and let me tell you, it did not disappoint!
There were tears of joy and sadness, intense hand holding, screaming, cheering, and then it was over.
Crazy how something that has been such a big part of your life for so long can just end. It really isn't very fair if you think about it ;)
Here are some pictures of the waiting...

There were tears of joy and sadness, intense hand holding, screaming, cheering, and then it was over.
Crazy how something that has been such a big part of your life for so long can just end. It really isn't very fair if you think about it ;)
Here are some pictures of the waiting...
just a friendly duel |
or maybe not so friendly... |
Us, at the front of the line, with wands raised. We were so ready to get in and see the movie at this point. |

You smile, I smile....
Sometimes.....
our parking garage becomes a lake
this isn't even when it was the worst |
Sometimes.....
we see multitudes of hot air balloons on the way to work.
Yes, you did just read that correctly! WORK! Finally after months of searching I finally got a job. Thank you forever to my roommate for hooking me up! I am so happy to be doing something with my life again. :)
Happy Fourth of July Weekend everybody! Enjoy the fireworks

Waterfalls and bestfriends...
A week ago one of my best friends returned home from his mission.
of course it was while I was in Mexico, so I couldn't go to the homecoming...
But we made up for it by going to lunch and on a crazy hike with our other friend Emily :)
It was a great day and so nice to have you home Taylor!!
So excited for Breanne and for all of us to hang out again, almost like old times!!
P.S. Random sidenote, my Blogger hates me and I am unable to comment on my posts. So if you have commented recently and I haven't said anything I promise I tried and it just wouldn't let me :( sorry guys. Thanks for reading my nonsense anyway!
