May Angels Lead You In...

*Disclaimer...this is another post of my random thoughts so consider yourself warned ;)

Sorry for the bad quality photo. This is a little card that I got from one of my seminary teachers in high school. I have carried it in my scriptures since I got it and I recently rediscovered it. The timing of this rediscovery is interesting because I have been thinking a lot about plans and purposes and one thing that has always been true is the statement on this card.

I have a saying that I probably use way too much but it has been relevant to most aspects of my life.
 Life is Interesting
No matter how much we plan or anticipate the future, we never really know exactly how something will play out. To be completely honest this bothers me a little...I am a planner, I like to know what I will be doing and when I will be doing it and stick to it (I am trying to be more spontaneous but it is quite difficult). During the almost 20 years I have lived I have seen a fair share of my plans being changed. Whether it be big or small I have learned that you can't always have things go exactly how you think they should. I have really tried to focus this year on letting the Lord be in control of my life and stop thinking that I know better than He does, because really I don't. He sees the bigger picture and knows what is best for me in the long run. It is sometimes scary to put complete trust in Him but it is more scary for me to think of all the great blessings I could miss out on by not trusting Him. It has been an interesting experience changing my mindset and I have learned a lot about myself and realized that there may be things in my future that I never thought I would be doing (more about this in a much later post, unless you are dying to know you can ask haha). I still am not completely sure what I'm supposed to do but I'm working out my plan as I go, I suppose that is all I can do because well life is interesting and my plans never work out how they're supposed to anyway.

On a little less serious note.
Biggest Loser Finale was tonight. If you don't know, I love the Biggest Loser. It is so inspiring...and guilt producing. (Why is it I am always eating icecream or something unhealthy while watching??) But anyway I am so happy with both of the winners this season! (The at home winner is from Bountiful just fyi...pretty awesome to show that not all Utahns are crazy, thank you very much Bachelor/Bachelorette).

I love seeing all the transformations and if you missed it this is the episode to watch, check it on hulu tomorrow. Just a warning, Ali the host is not very good live...but that's ok we love her anway :)

Now to wait till September for the next season to start.

Lastly, I just hope everyone prays for the people in Missouri and anyone affected by all the natural disasters going on in the world. It completely breaks my heart to see this

I can't even imagine going through such a tragedy. My prayers are with all those people. :( So terrible.

Ready for an adventure....

All I want to do is see the world.

Is that too much to ask?

I will travel to all  the places on my list before I die.

All I need is a lot more money....
bother

On another note.
It's been four months and not a day goes by that I don't miss him.
"Nobody said it was easy, no one ever said it would be this hard."

Love you Grandpa
