Even though we ain't got money...

As I sit here typing, the wind is bringing in a storm and it couldn't be more welcome. There is nothing better than summer rain!
Now back to the real purpose of this post...catching up....big time! Of course, it'll be mostly pictures (a lot of pictures) to keep it more interesting, hopefully ;)
So, here goes my life the last couple of months (for those of you that don't follow me on insta because some of these are repeats! Sorry)

I am officially old! :) Just kidding, but seriously I can't believe I am 21. Time flies!

I am beyond proud of my team! They were undefeated in the season and made it to the playoffs! They worked so hard and I am so sad that we couldn't pull of the championship. We'll get them next year girls <3
Remember when it was a quarantine zone at my apartment and I had to crawl through plastic to get in?
Well it is now beautifully painted and so welcoming, much better than plastic!

SUN VALLEY, ID....
My dad had a work convention in Sun Valley and the family got to tag along!

Ready for the long, boring drive...

These signs were all over at the lodge and hotel, we said it would've been funny though if they had one at church since the bankers and their families made up most of the congregation!

In the kitchen of our condo, such a great quote ;) so relevant...

The first night (Saturday) my parents had their own dinner to go to, so we were on our own. We had the most incredible pizza ever! I don't know if it was just the long drive or what, but everything about that dinner was hilarious! Gotta love hanging out with J and J

Sunday, we went to church and there is something so cool about going to a different ward. Of course, all the essential parts are exactly the same which is what makes the gospel so amazing but I love all the little quirks and personalities each ward has. I might be weird or alone in this, but going to church while I'm on vacation is one of my favorite things!
In the afternoon, my dad was in charge of a vendor luncheon thing, where a bunch of vendors set up booths and offer information as to why bankers should do business with them. Basically we just got a bunch of free stuff. We had to go early since my dad was in charge so the first picture is just waiting for it all to be set up and documenting a good hair day :) The second picture is in the bathroom because it was a princess bathroom! So similar to the one in Little America! Of course, I loved it!

Monday was a beautiful day! We went paddle boating on a little lake and me and Josher were terrible at it (basically our boat was broken) but it was way fun. We were laughing the whole time! We even had our own Whale Wars moment, sketchy! Then it was swimming, Bingo, dinner, and an outdoor movie (Dolphin Tale, my most favorite!)

Tuesday, we went old school bowling. It was great, keeping your own score and everything. My dad won but I got a close second! Then me and Josh went ice skating which was funny because it was so hot outside so it felt a little weird. I always forget how much I enjoy ice skating but I also forget how tired your ankles get!
Next was one of the best parts of the whole trip.... Kenny Loggins!!

This song always makes me teary! I have loved it ever since I was a little kid! (sorry for bad video quality!)
This is literally one of my very favorite songs of all time! Haha basically I like it a little ;) He started with this one so that is why I was unable to get the full recording! Also, please enjoy Jake singing lead vocal! Isn't that boy talented ;)

There was a point in the concert when all of the drunk older people thought it would be a great idea to go up to the front and showcase their drunken dance skills. It was seriously so fantastic! These people were having the time of their life! It was just as entertaining to watch them as it was to watch Kenny!

This is us a little weirded out by some of the people dancing a little too hard core!

Full on swing dancing in the front row! This was before the front was completely packed with people

This is us, boring folks. Rocking out in our own row. Contrary to what it looks like my family was having a good time haha

Wednesday, was packing, puzzling, and more paddle boating before the ever longer drive home!
I have a freaky obsession with puzzles. I can't get enough of them!

Isn't this place beautiful?

Had the amazing opportunity to see The Sound of Music at Hale! It was seriously so good! As all Hale plays are!
Oh, did you guys know that they made a new Spiderman? Let me just tell you, it was PERFECT! Seriously go see it if you haven't I highly recommend it! Don't even think about Toby McGuire while you're watching it because its so different (and much more accurate to the comic book) I think I am more in love with Peter Parker than ever! Haha Andrew Garfield does help with that :) He's such a sexy nerd! Love him!

So excited for the midnight premiere!

These guys were my only friends the weekend I got to dogsit. Love these puppies for keeping me company!

The Fourth Of July....

One of the best holidays of the year! There is something so magical about huge fireworks in the sky all over the state! Not having work isn't so bad either!

Because I didn't have work I decided to curl my hair (which takes far too long for how quickly it goes flat) I really liked the new way I found though on Pinterest, which made it faster and a lot less hairspray!

I also got to wear my Fourth of July shoes! Which I love!
All finished (Photo overload when I curl my hair!)
Favorite sunnies on a beautiful holiday!

We had a BBQ with a couple of other families in our ward. The food was incredible and the company was even better. We played some fun games and then when it got dark we headed over to the middle school for our own private professional firework show

Alright so it wasn't really professional, but Jake has a passion for all things pyro and got some pretty good fireworks. He even made a playlist filled with grand patriotic songs to go along with it. I'm not going to lie. I am not the biggest fan of the do them yourself fireworks. It always makes me nervous! (I enjoy from a distance) I am all about the professional shows that most cities put on but no one burned any houses or started any wild fires here so it was a success!

We had glow sticks, naturally mine didn't actually glow haha it was faulty!

Last but certainly not least!

ST. GEORGE....one of my favorite places!

I'm ready to go back just looking at these pictures!!
As soon as we got there it was straight to the pool where we stayed till past dinner..oops! Then we watched a movie/slept/painted nails
 Nail time with mom!

We went to Toquerville Falls which was a crazy adventure. Its about 5 miles down this dirt road that requires 4 wheel drive vehicles. There were a couple of times I was afraid we weren't going to make it but it turned out ok and the end result was super cool! There were beautiful falls that made a pool that you could jump into off of a 12 foot ledge. It was so cool and refreshing on that hot day!

That night we went to see Aladdin at Tuacahn which is one of the best places for a musical!

It was a great musical! So funny! There were real animals and even a 3 D part! There is nothing cooler than the set extending up the whole mountain!

Saturday we went shopping, swimming, and to the best musical ever!

I fell in love with this story when we had to read it in 10th grade! The Shakespeare Festival did a fantastic job! I enjoyed every second of it!

We actually stopped in Cedar City on the way home from St. George for Les Mis. It didn't get over til after 11 so we got home at about 3am. Needless to say I am still trying to recover from that!
I feel as though I probably should've entitled this post the month of musicals haha I swear I'm not normally this cultured and sophistocated ;)

There is the short version of the last little bit! I know it is ridiculously long so to make the end much sweeter, I had to add a couple of songs as always!

Two of my favorite songs right now! <3
