Defying Gravity....

These were the two mottos a couple of months ago when my cousin Bailey and I decided we needed a good vacation to end summer.
(Ok so this trip was last AUGUST! I know, embarrassing to even be posting after this long, but I have a good excuse...ok not really but I honestly had started to blog about it months ago and my lovely computer shut down and the auto save hadn't worked since half way through because of a video so I lost the last half and all motivation to retype it all again! Sorry. At this point I realize this post is mainly for me and I am ok with that!! Who knows maybe by summer I will have Fall and Winter posted ha ha ha)

We picked a weekend we both could get off work and head down to our favorite place in the world, St. George!
We left Wednesday right after I got off work and let me tell you,  I couldn't have been more excited!

On the way down the sunset was incredible! We had to stop, pullover on the freeway, pull out the big camera to take pictures. It was worth it (isn't the last one crazy??).
Sidenote: I am not sure how we didn't get any pictures of us on the way there...we usually have a multitude of them. Ooops!
Due to making a couple of stops along the way we didn't get in until late and we were both exhausted. It felt good to get to the Legacy house drop our stuff and go to bed!
This is us in the morning...so attractive (don't worry there are plenty of good looking pictures in this post!) we were so tired but excited for the day we had planned!
We first got a nutritious breakfast at our St. George staple...
Then, we were on the road again.
I have never actually stopped in Vegas and we decided this trip would be the perfect opportunity! It actually worked perfectly because Bailey's parents were going to be staying in Vegas for a conference.

We started out our Vegas excursion with some much needed pool time.
It was so hot outside that we could only stay out of the pool for about 10 minutes before completely melting.
I reckognize how awkward this picture is but I had to document. When we showed up at the pool this guy came out and started scrubbing the sides. We felt so bad for him because it was 110 degrees outside and he was wearing pants! Poor guy!

Because I have never seen the strip before we decided to drive the whole thing (it was way too hot to walk it! so we opted for a nice air conditioned ride!) These were some of my favorite things to see...

We did park and watch the Bellagio fountains and although it was blazing, it was still so beautiful! All we wanted to do, though, was jump in the water! I love that they played music to go along with the show!

Ok, lets be honest, the real reason we went to Vegas was to get frozen hot chocolate from Serendipity (another first for me! Kicking myself for not going in NY)

In waiting for Bailey's dad to get out of his meetings we had been researching what to get and there was a high recommendation for the Mac n' cheese so we both ordered that!

 It did not disappoint!!
Of course, the main course ;) Seriously though, it was heavenly!
Like I said, such good looking pictures! At this point we had been sweating for a couple of hours so it was a little nasty but extremely happy of course!
 Every last drop!
This is a little out of order but these were seriously some of the best onion rings I've ever had. Serendipity do you deliver to Provo??
Our waitor was a little odd and when we asked him to take our picture he had to snap this one of himself first.
Then, because my Uncle loves to joke around as well he asked him to be in our picture. Making friends wherever we go :)

We then went to watch the fountains one more time while it was dark. So much cooler with all the lights!
Side note: not sure if you noticed or not but the lady in front of us was smoking and blowing it right in our faces! There were times when I thought she was going to flick ash on my foot. Needless to say it was pretty inconsiderate with all the people so close around. My Uncle jokingly said to me, "dare me to throw her cigarette in the water" I just laughed it off thinking he was just making a point....well...then this happend haha

 (Sorry that video isn't loading!!!)

This is the after video so I could still have a normal recording ;)
She was so upset!! Of course, in hind sight there probably was a better way to handle this but it was pretty funny, although at the time I was very nervous she was going to harm us in some way!!

Friday was our pool day! We loaded up the golf cart with enough pool tools to entertain 10 small children, it was a little out of control.

The best thing is we (Bailey) forgot something (a towel) back at the house so we ditched all of the stuff at the door and hoped that the good people of Legacy wouldn't steal all of our pool toys (not that there weren't enough to go around). They were all still there when we returned!

What would you know? Right after we showed up the pool guy came and was cleaning the pool, just our pool luck at this point!

Other the the pool guy for a couple of minutes we had the pool to ourselves aka music blasting and getting tan (burnt).

Due to it being so hot we only lasted for a couple of hours but left with nice sun burns!
We came back, got ready, went to Chilis, went to Target (again), and came home for movie night!

Of course, girl's weekend means sad movies!

During the second movie we were watching there was a very loud and very annoying cricket chirp. We knew it had to be in the house because it was that loud. We started searching for the stupid thing because we needed it to stop! (Whoever decided that cricket noises should be used for a relaxing sound is very wrong!) Well, needless to say we spent quite some time looking and even had some false hope of finding it.....

we were wrong, and chickens haha so embarrassing

(Sorry for the insta pictures, for some reason they didn't stay cropped when I transferred them and honestly I'm too lazy to edit them now! ;) )
BUT despite the cricket fiasco it was a good day, I mean how could you be sad wearing these awesome (boys) sweatshirts we got at Target?

Saturday was another first for me ZIONS (how have I never been here before??)

First we had to stop at Target (again x2) to get Hunger Games!!!
The weather was hot and the idea was definitely popular! It was an ordeal to get into the park and then finding parking was a frightening experience. All in all we had a good time! It was very hot and crowded so we only hiked one trail but we took lots of pictures. Enjoy!

Bailey's parents came to stay the night on Saturday on their way back from Vegas so we watched Hunger Games with them after getting some delcious Pizza Factory and a golf cart cruise!!

Sunday was cleaning and leaving...

Our Grandpa always says that we are supposed to leave our troubles in Paragonah when we go to the Legacy, well we decided we needed a picture to report! This is also something much easier said than done! You're welcome Paragonah residents for some free entertainment for the afternoon!

SO SAD to leave!! As always these trips are far too short! Provo, don't be offended if I move here!
Also, just have to write a little note to this girl to tell her how much I love her! She is literally the best road trip partner ever! This is definitely going to be an anual (maybe semi anual) trip! Love you Bay!! Lets go back!
